Expendable liquid fueled launch vehicle between 2006-2009
On September 28, 2008, SpaceX becomes the first company to launch a privately developed liquid fueled rocket to orbit.
2 stage design
1st stage powered by an early version of the Merlin engine.
2nd stage powered by the Kestrel engine.
Final launch was for the Malaysian RazaakSAT, SpaceX's first commercial launch.
Retired after 5th launch to focus development on the Falcon 9
